China’s A00 aluminium ingot price declines by RMB150/t W-o-W; Low-carbon aluminium price slumps by RMB70/t

On Tuesday, June 25, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price dropped by RMB 60 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,200 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 90 to RMB 50 per tonne. The average prices may orbit between RMB 20,180 per tonne and RMB 20,220 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the domestic aluminium ingot price declined RMB 150 per tonne W-o-W from RMB 20,350 per tonne recorded on June 18.

The impact of the A00 aluminium ingot price drop was felt across all major provinces. In regions like Gongyi, Foshan, Chongqing and Shenyang, the prices slumped by RMB 70 per tonne to clock at RMB 20,060 per tonne, RMB 20,000 per tonne, RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,170 per tonne. In Wuxi, Hangzhou and Linyi, the prices dropped by RMB 60 per tonne to reach RMB 20,190 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne. In Tianjin, the aluminium ingot price lost RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,260 per tonne.

Oher prices

The domestic price of low carbon aluminium has decreased by RMB 70 per tonne to reach RMB 20,951 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price of high purity aluminium (99.99%) and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have slumped by RMB 100 per tonne to dock at RMB 27,600 per tonne and RMB 28,600 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has dropped by RMB 50 per tonne to stop at RMB 20,700 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 20,500 per tonne and RMB 20,900 per tonne. On the other hand, for aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) the prices have shown no change to settle at RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 21,000 per tonne.
