China’s A00 aluminium ingot price augments by RMB110/t to RMB20510/t; Aluminium alloy (A356) price surges by RMB100/t

On May 19, A00 aluminium ingot price in China has shot up by RMB 110 per tonne to close at RMB 20,510 per tonne, finds SMM. The average price is expected to orbit between RMB 20,490 per tonne and RMB 20,530 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a discount price of -20 per tonne and premium price of 20 per tonne.

The price in Gongyi has witnessed the highest hike at RMB 170 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,510 per tonne. In Foshan, Chongqing and Tianjin, the price has surged by RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 20,520 per tonne, RMB 20,510 per tonne and RMB 20,520 per tonne. As of today, in Hangzhou, Shenyang and Linyi, the price has escalated by RMB 110 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,560 per tonne, RMB 20,480 per tonne and RMB 20,590 per tonne. In Wuxi, the price has grown by RMB 115 per tonne to score at RMB 20,510 per tonne.

According to SMM, the average alumina spot price has inched down by RMB 2 per tonne to halt at RMB 3,010 per tonne. The price in most of the provinces has remained unchanged, except in Shanxi, where the price has gone down by RMB 5 per tonne to close at RMB 2,950 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has grown by RMB 100 per tonne to stop at RMB 21,700 per tonne, with the average price expected to range between RMB 21,600 per tonne and RMB 21,800 per tonne. Aluminium alloy (ADC12) price and (A380) price have remained unchanged at RMB 21,300 per tonne and RMB 22,300 per tonne.

Australian alumina FOB price has climbed down by US$3 per tonne to settle at US$362 per tonne. Aluminium powder price has inched up by RMB 0.1 per kg to come in at RMB 22.3 per kg, with the average price expected to orbit between RMB 22.2 per kg and RMB 22.4 per kg.
