Chinalco announces its ambitious Dual Carbon and Digital Intelligence Action Plans at the Fuzhou Conference

On May 10, Chinalco's high-end dual carbon and digital intelligence action plan conference was held in Fuzhou. During the meeting, Chinalco unveiled its high-end "Digital Intelligence Action Plan (2024-2026)" and "Dual Carbon Action Plan." Chinalco Ruimin, recognised for its exemplary transformation in dual carbon and digital intelligence, shared successful practice cases.

Additionally, Aluminum Intelligence and Colour Technology provided professional support reports. Li Xiehua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Chinalco attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Tang Yong, Deputy General Manager of Chinalco, and Qu Ming, Assistant General Manager, were also present. 

About the conference

After the conference, participants toured several key facilities, including the Ruimin Information Centralized Control Centre, the three-dimensional elevated warehouse for waste aluminium, the aluminium recycling pre-treatment line, the automobile panel production line, and the intelligent manufacturing workshop. They discussed accelerating ideological transformation, adapting to new situations and changes, promoting equipment renewal, process upgrades, digital empowerment, and management innovation. 

The focus was on increasing the high-quality supply of green and low-carbon products and services, building a green and low-carbon industrial chain and supply chain, and driving Chinalco's high-quality transformation towards high-end green, low-carbon, and digital intelligence through practical actions.

Over 50 individuals attended the meeting, including representatives from Chinalco Group, relevant departments within Chinalco, leaders and personnel from various enterprises, and experts from Chinalco Intelligent and China National Colour Technology.

What Li Xiehua said

In his speech, Li Xiehua emphasised that intelligent and green data represent two crucial trends in the new scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation. These trends create new growth opportunities for economic and social development and are pivotal in accelerating new quality productivity.

"We must deeply implement the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and be an advanced enterprise with green, low-carbon and low-cost digital intelligence. It is necessary to strengthen the sense of mission and urgency of low-carbon green development and digital intelligent transformation, practice green low-carbon and digital intelligent development with the consciousness of life and death, and effectively open up the "urban mine" mining efforts, and effectively accelerate the construction progress of digital intelligent; Second, we must speed up the change of thinking and be a pacesetter for internal development. All units should fully combine the actual situation of the enterprise, do a good job of targeted transformation strategies, and create internal benchmarks," stated Li Xiehua.

Li Xiehua called on all units to use Chinalco's high-end "Double Carbon and Digital Intelligence" action plan as a guiding framework for implementing low-carbon living and digital transformation. He stressed that the primary leaders should integrate this plan into daily management, performance assessments, and employee value-creation processes to ensure effective and efficient execution.

Firstly, organisational support must be strengthened, and work responsibilities must be clearly defined. Secondly, supervision and inspection should be reinforced by establishing and improving a robust oversight mechanism. Thirdly, it is essential to foster exchanges and cooperation, leveraging shared strengths to accelerate achieving goals. Lastly, enhancing propaganda and guidance is critical to ensure that the transformation towards "double carbon" and "digital intelligence" becomes a proactive commitment among leaders at all enterprise levels.
