China CAMC Engineering has secured a major expansion project contract in the aluminium industry of Angola. The project, valued at RMB 1.72 billion (USD 253.39 million), takes the company a step towards solidifying its position across the nation’s industrial development landscape.
{alcircleadd}The company announced that the commercial agreement was signed by CAMC International Engineering (Jiangsu), its wholly owned subsidiary, at the 17th International Forum and Exhibition on Infrastructure Investment and Construction held on June 11, 2026.

The contract was drawn up for Phase II (Sections 1–6) of the Huatong Angola Electrolytic Aluminium Production Line Project. It covers the expansion of the production line with an annual production capacity of 120,000 tonnes.
As per the agreement, CAMC Jiangsu is in charge of the engineering design, equipment procurement, installation and the ensuing commissioning activities for the project.
The expansion is expected to strengthen Angola’s aluminium production capabilities while supporting the country's broader industrialisation goals. At the same time, it marks a milestone in China CAMC Engineering’s overseas infrastructure and industrial portfolio.
