Century Retirees in Court Friday
Plaintiffs say Century Aluminum promised early retirees continued health benefits even after it shut down in February 2009.
But those retirees are scheduled to lose their benefits June 30.
The plant closed due to economic pressure, laying off 651 employees in the process.
Workers between 55 and 65 who retired were told the company would continue to pay health care costs. Retirees older than 65 and eligible for Medicare lost supplemental benefits from the company in January 2010
