Century Aluminum Co. (CENX: News ) on Monday forecast profit for the second quarter below analysts' expectations, citing lower than expected U.S. production. The quarter's results include the impact of unabsorbed costs and restart expenditures due to production inefficiencies at the Hawesville plant.
For the second quarter, the company expects to report net income of $23 million to $25 million or $0.23 to $0.25 per share, and adjusted net income of $25 million to $27 million or $0.25 to $0.27 per share.
