This cutting-edge technology will enable Cameroon’s sole aluminium smelter to enhance production efficiency, optimise power utilisation, and increase operational stability, targeting to save as much as 1 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.

This collaboration will not only steer operational efficiency and environmental sustainability but will also cater to the increasing worldwide demand for Green Aluminium. With the implementation of the system, Alucam will be able to return to full capacity utilisation by the end of 2025 while meeting its sustainability goals.

Utilising hydro energy by Alucam for aluminium production also underscores its dedication to Green Aluminium production.
