Average alumina spot price in China drops by RMB53/t to close at RMB 3,195/t; A00 aluminium ingot price shrinks by RMB 90/t

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, on Tuesday, December 7, the average alumina spot price has dropped by RMB 53 per tonne or by 1.63 percent to settle at RMB 3,195 per tonne.

The average alumina price in Shandong and Henan has slipped by RMB 60 per tonne to total at RMB 3,290 per tonne and RMB 3,200 per tonne. On the other hand, in provinces like Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the price has stayed the same and closed at RMB 3,150 per tonne and RMB 3,200 per tonne. On the other hand, the average alumina price in Guizhou and Guangxi has declined by RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,240 per tonne and RMB 3,065 per tonne, as of December 7. In Shanxi also the price has shrunk by RMB 60 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,190 per tonne.

Australian alumina FOB price, on the other hand, has descended by US$18 per tonne to settle at US$367 per tonne.

On Tuesday, December 7, A00 Aluminium Ingot Price has slumped by RMB 90 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,690 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to stand between RMB 18,670 per tonne and RMB 18,710 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.

As per SMM, the average A00 aluminium ingot price in Foshan and Wuxi has settled down by RMB 90 per tonne to close at RMB 18,800 per tonne and RMB 18,680 per tonne. As of Tuesday, December 7, the price in Shenyang and Tianjin has decreased by RMB 70 per tonne to record at RMB 18,670 per tonne and 18, 690 per tonne. On the other hand, in Linyi the price has plummeted by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,770 per tonne. In Gongyi the price has descended by RMB 60 per tonne to close at RMB 18,690 per tonne. In Chongqing as well the price has nosedived by RMB 130 per tonne to total at RMB 18,760 per tonne. In Hangzhou, the average primary aluminium ingot price has moved down by RMB 95 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,685 per tonne, as of Tuesday, December 7.

The aluminium alloy price (ADC12) and (A380) has remained restrained and closed at RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 21,200 per tonne. According to SMM, the average price for ACD12 are likely to range between RMB 19,900 per tonne and RMB 20,100 per tonne. The average price for A380 is expected to stand between RMB 21,100 per tonne and 21,300 per tonne.

The average aluminium alloy ingot price (A356) has plummeted by RMB 200 per tonne to close at RMB 20,750 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to range between RMB 20,700 per tonne and RMB 20,800 per tonne.
