Average alumina spot price in China descends by RMB 68/t to stand at RMB 3,127/t; A00 aluminium ingot price hikes by RMB 100/t

The average alumina spot price has been in the declining phase since November 25. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the average alumina spot price has shrunk by RMB 68 per tonne or by 2.12 percent to close at RMB 3,127 per tonne, as of December 8. 

The average alumina price in Henan and Shanxi has slipped by RMB 25 per tonne and by RMB 75 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,115 per tonne. In Guizhou, the price has remained unchanged and closed at RMB 3,240 per tonne. The average alumina price in Shandong and Guangxi has descended by RMB 40 per tonne and RMB 15 per tonne, as of December 8. The price for both the provinces has been recorded at RMB 3,250 per tonne and RMB 3,050 per tonne for the same day. In Lianyungang and Bayuquan the price has remained the same to come in at RMB 3,150 per tonne and RMB 3,200 per tonne, as of December 8.

Australian alumina FOB price has remained unaffected at US$367 per tonne, as of Wednesday, December 8.

On Wednesday, December 8, the price of A00 Aluminium Ingot has surged by RMB 100 per tonne to register in at RMB 18,790 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to orbit between RMB 18,770 per tonne and RMB 18, 810 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.

According to SMM, the average A00 aluminium ingot price in Shenyang and Tianjin has levelled up by RMB 90 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,760 per tonne. On the other hand, in provinces like Wuxi, Chongqing and Linyi, the price has shifted up by RMB 100 per tonne, as of December 8. The price for the three provinces has been recorded at RMB 18,780 per tonne, RMB 18,860 per tonne and RMB 18,870 per tonne. In Gongyi the price has escalated by RMB 120 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,810 per tonne. In Foshan, the price has surged by RMB 80 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,880 per tonne. In Hangzhou the price has increased by RMB 105 per tonne to close at RMB 18,790 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy price (ADC12) and (A380) has hiked by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 21,300 per tonne, respectively. The average price for ADC12 is likely to stay between RMB 20,000 per tonne and 20,200 per tonne. The average price for A380 is expected to range between RMB 21,200 per tonne and RMB 21,400 per tonne, as of December 8.

The aluminium alloy price (A356) has also climbed up by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,850 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to range between RMB 20,800 per tonne and RMB 20,900 per tonne.
