US aluminium crude metals and alloys imports from Canada decline 16.62% Q-o-Q in Q3 2020
The United States aluminium crude metals and alloys imports from Canada extended decline in September 2020 by 54,000 tonnes or 26.34 per cent month-on-month to 151,000 tonnes, found the US Geological Survey data. In August, the United States imports from Canada stood at 205,000 tonnes, almost flat compared with 206,000 tonnes in July 2020. This brings the United States total aluminium crude metals and alloys imports from Canada in the third quarter of 2020 to 562,000 tonnes, down by 16.62 per cent Q-o-Q from 674,000 tonnes. The latest data of the US Geological Survey found the United States in the third quarter of 2020 imported 789,000 tonnes of crude and dried bauxite. The import volume declined by 45,000 tonnes or 5.40 per cent in Q3 2020, following a hike of 8 per cent to 834,000 tonnes in the second quarter of the year.
