
The LME complex ended mixed on Monday, with aluminium fell 1.37 per cent. Benchmark aluminium price on the London Metal Exchange plunged by 1.16 per cent on Monday, December 7.

Both LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price extended downfall from US$ 2027.50 per tonne on December 4 to US$ 2004 per tonne on December 7. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price stood at US$ 2018.50 per tonne, declining by US$ 21.50 per tonne from US$ 2040 per tonne. Dec 21 bid price and Dec 21 offer price hovered at US$ 2046.50 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock decreased from 1353350 tonnes to 1350575 tonnes on December 7. Live Warrants hovered at 1155550 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants at 195025 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price stood at US$ 2016.50 per tonne, as of Monday, December 7.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE declined to stand at US$ 2504 per tonne on Tuesday December 8, following a hike from US$ 2510 per tonne to US$ 2514 per tonne on December 7.
The most-liquid SHFE 2101 aluminium contract finished the day 0.65 per cent lower at RMB 16,075 per tonne. Open interest fell 7,061 lots to 134,820 lots.
