ASI enlists OARC as Production and Transformation member

OARC is a green field aluminium rolling mill located in Oman, established in 2011. The plant is situated in the Sohar Industrial Estate and has a nameplate capacity of 140 thousand metric tons of rolled aluminium annually. It can increase production capacity to 200 thousand metric tons per year in the future.

The plant has a headcount of more than 300 workers and serves customers in the building and construction, transportation, packaging, consumer durables, energy, and HVAC sectors across three continents.

Peter Rijkoort, the CEO of OARC, mentioned in a press release that joining hands with ASI displays the company's commitment to sustainable production.

"Joining ASI emphasizes Oman and OARC's strong commitment to responsible operations and to work together with the other members in this community to contribute to sustainability and transparency throughout the aluminium value chain," he stated.

Outlook 2023

ASI is a global organization that sets industry standards and certifications in the aluminium value chain. The association brings together stakeholders in the aluminium industry to achieve objectives such as sustainable production methods, material chain-of-custody procedures, recycling, social impacts related to aluminium production, and production standards.
