Antonio Quereda appointed as Aludium’s Innovation and Technology Director

Aludium, a leading manufacturer of sheet metal and aluminium coil products, announced today that Antonio Quereda will take up the newly created position of Innovation and Technology Director from 16 November 2015. Antonio has over 25 years experience in industrial manufacturing covering high demand sectors such as automotive, aerospace and toys.

Antonio joins Aludium from FAMOSA, Spain’s leading toy manufacturer, where he held the role of Chief Operating Officer for more than seven years.

In his new role, Antonio will lead the innovation activities of Aludium and its Cindal R&D Centre. He will also take responsibility for key development projects and capital expenditure investments. As part of this role, Antonio will also define, develop and lead the implementation of standard practices across all Aludium sites and set our strategic direction for our continuous improvement activities.

After completing an Industrial Engineering degree and MBA at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), Antonio joined Grupo Antolin in 1990. The group manufactures interior components for the global automotive industry. From 2000 he held various positions including Plant Managing Director, Product Director and Industrial Director for different sectors of the business.

With 16 years experience in the automotive industry, Antonio moved to Grupo Alcalá Industrial to take up the position of Industrial Director. In this role he was responsible for manufacturing operations in the group’s four plants across Spain. Grupo Alcalá Industrial is a Tier-1 supplier of metal parts to the automotive industry.

Antonio then joined Fibertecnic, a major provider of carbon composite parts for airframe structures. He held the position of Managing Director at the Vitoria (Spain) Plant which produces components for leading airframe makers such as Airbus, Embraer, and Sikorsky. He left in 2006 to become COO of Famosa.
