Aluminium packaging firm i2r expands its team with three key appointments

Aluminium foil tray manufacturer i2r Packaging Solutions is strengthening its commercial structure as part of preparations for business expansion in 2026, with a series of senior appointments across foodservice, distribution and national accounts. The company has appointed Fern Timmins as Head of Foodservice & Distribution, a newly created role that combines two core operational areas. Fern will be responsible for developing i2r’s foodservice and distribution activities, leading the launch and growth of the company’s e-commerce platform, and overseeing the customer service function.

Fern brings more than 20 years’ experience in the food packaging industry. Commenting on her appointment, she said, “I was drawn to i2r by the opportunity to apply my experience in a pivotal leadership role, taking responsibility for developing a sales division and further strengthening my management capability within a dynamic and innovative organisation. I’m particularly looking forward to developing the foodservice division, exploring new growth opportunities and supporting my team as they develop and flourish within the business.”

i2r has also expanded its national account management team with the appointments of Faye Blunkett and Zoe Gardner as national account managers, strengthening its customer-facing capability across key aluminium packaging segments.

Faye brings 10 years’ experience in the foodservice industry, including six years in packaging, most recently as a senior national account manager at Go-Pak. Her responsibilities include mid- to long-term account strategy, aluminium contract management, negotiations, forecasting and budgeting.

Zoe Gardner fills an existing role within the business and will manage UK and Ireland food processors. She brings 30 years’ experience in food packaging sales, including two decades supplying foil packaging solutions to manufacturers, distributors and retailers.
