Alumina spot price in China clocks M-o-M growth of RMB37/t; A00 aluminium ingot price gains RMB70

On Wednesday, September 6, the average alumina spot price in China gained RMB 7 per tonne, settling at RMB 2,933 per tonne. As per the Shanghai Metal Exchange (SMM) data, M-o-M, the alumina price had expanded by RMB 37 per tonne or 1.27 per cent from RMB 2,896 per tonne recorded on August 7. As of today, the alumina prices in Shandong, Henan and Shanxi have grown by RMB 10 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,910 per tonne, RMB 2,940 per tonne and RMB 2,955 per tonne. In Guangxi, the price has moved up by RMB 5 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,930 per tonne.

China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 70 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,310 per tonne. The average prices may stand between RMB 19,290 per tonne and RMB 19,330 per tonne. As per the data, the spot contract price may be traded at a discount price of RMB 20 per tonne to a premium price of RMB 20 per tonne. In Gongyi, the domestic aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 90 per tonne to reside at RMB 19,220 per tonne.

In Wuxi and Chongqing, the A00 aluminium ingot prices have increased by RMB 80 per tonne to register at RMB 19,320 per tonne and RMB 19,270 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Hangzhou and Linyi gained RMB 70 per tonne to close at RMB 19,310 per tonne. The SMM prices in Shenyang and Foshan have gone up by RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,250 per tonne and RMB 19,090 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has hiked by RMB 28 per tonne to close at RMB 19,779 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has added RMB 0.1 per tonne to clock at RMB 21.1 per tonne. The Australian alumina FOB price has descended by US3 per tonne to peg at US 342 per tonne. On the same day, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) expanded by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,950 per tonne, with average prices between RMB 19,800 per tonne and RMB 20,100 per tonne.
