Alumina price in China registers higher growth today at RMB2143/t; A00 aluminium ingot price up by RMB80/t

Extending the growth by RMB 10 per tonne today, on April 28, the average alumina spot price in China has come in at RMB 2,143 per tonne, found Shanghai Metals Market. In the east and central, the alumina price has gained RMB 10 per tonne as well to come in at RMB 2,135 per tonne. The average prices there are expected to range between RMB 2,120 per tonne and RMB 2,150 per tonne.

In the north, the alumina price growth is slightly lower at RMB 5 per tonne, bringing the price at RMB 2,150 per tonne, while that in the south has remained restrained at RMB 2,520 per tonne.

The imported alumina price has grown by RMB 25 per tonne to RMB 2,100 per tonne, as of April 28, according to SMM. The Australian alumina FOB price, on the other hand, has not registered any change today from US$ 227 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot price has also extended growth in China by RMB 80 per tonne to stand at RMB 12,590 per tonne, according to SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 12,570 per tonne and RMB 12,610 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 40-80 per tonne.

Among all the major provinces, Linyi has seen the highest growth of RMB 160 per tonne to RMB 12,790 per tonne, followed by Gongyi, where the aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 125 per tonne to RMB 12,680 per tonne. Wuxi, Hangzhou, Shenyang, and Tianjin have seen the rise of RMB 90 per tonne to stand respectively at RMB 12,590 per tonne, RMB 12,620 per tonne, RMB 12,645 per tonne, and RMB 12,640 per tonne. In Chongqing and Foshan, the ingot price has increased by RMB 80 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to hover at RMB 12,680 per tonne and RMB 12,810 per tonne, respectively.

Industry 4.0 in Aluminium

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has registered a growth too by RMB 100 per tonne to hover at RMB 13,300 per tonne, while that of the aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) has remained restrained at RMB 13,850 per tonne and RMB 14,750 per tonne, respectively.
