Alumina price in China falls further to RMB 2467/t; A00 aluminium price drops after rising for six days

The spot alumina prices in China have dropped across all major markets. The average spot alumina price stands at RMB 2467 per tonne on Friday, 06 December 2019, after remaining flat at RMB 2478 per tonne on December 5. This records a drop of RMB 11 per tonne or 0.44 per cent.

The average prices of Alumina-East and Alumina-Central have fallen by RMB 10 per tonne and RMB 5 per tonne to stand at RMB 2480 per tonne and RMB 2490 per tonne; Alumina-North is down by RMB 10 per tonne to RMB 2470 per tonne; Alumina-South remains unchanged at RMB 2520 per tonne as on December 06.

Alumina (Imported) price is down by RMB20 per tonne to RMB 2520 per tonne. The average price is expected to range within RMB 2500-2540 per tonne.

Aluminium ingot price has dropped RMB 60 per tonne and 0.42 per cent today after rising for the six days in a row. Aluminium price stands at RMB 14070 per tonne on December 6, from its previous price of RMB 14130 per tonne. The price is expected to move within a range of RMB 14050-14090 per tonne. Spot aluminium price is likely to be traded at a premium of RMB 30-70 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot prices in Foshan and Wuxi stand at RMB 14060 per tonne each, down RMB 70 per tonne and RMB 60 per tonne. The prices in Hangzhou, Chongqing, and Shenyang have fallen by RMB 25 per tonne, RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 65 per tonne to stand at RMB 14105 per tonne, RMB 14060 per tonne, and RMB 14050 per tonne.

In Tianjin, Linyi, and Gongyi, the aluminium price has decreased to stand at RMB 14065 per tonne, RMB 14070 per tonne, and RMB 13975 per tonne.

The Aluminium alloy (ZLD102) and Aluminium alloy (ZLD104) prices have declined by RMB 50 per tonne each to RMB 14800 per tonne and RMB 14750 per tonne. Their prices are expected to range at RMB 14650-14950 per tonne and RMB 14650-14850 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price is also down by RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 14750 per tonne today. The price is expected to range at RMB 14700 per tonne-14800 per tonne.
