Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) has recorded 48 million safe working hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI), reaching the milestone on 16 July 2026 as the company intensifies workplace safety measures for the summer season.
{alcircleadd}The achievement reflects Alba's continued efforts to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for both employees and contractors.
Coinciding with the milestone, the company has rolled out its annual plant-wide Summer Safety and Health (S&H) Campaign under the theme "Safety by Choice, Excellence by Habit." The programme will run until July 29, 2026 and focuses on keeping the workforce safe during the hottest months of the year through awareness activities and practical guidance.
Employees, contractors and workers will receive information from internal and external safety specialists on heat stress prevention, hydration and other summer safety practices aimed at reducing seasonal health risks.
Launching the campaign, Alba Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali said safety remains a fundamental value across the company's operations throughout the year. He noted that the annual initiative serves as an opportunity to refresh awareness, reinforce safe working practices and help protect the workforce during one of the most demanding periods of the year.
He also called on employees to continue following established safety procedures with the goal of completing a 10th consecutive summer without a single heat-related injury or illness. He urged the workforce to stay hydrated, remain alert and make safe decisions throughout their daily work.
