A00 aluminium ingot price suffers a loss of RMB320/t after three hikes; but aluminium alloys(ADC12) price grows to RMB18350/t

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has plummeted by RMB 320 per tonne after three consecutive days of rally from RMB 17,840 per tonne to RMB 18,620 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market. As of Monday, August 1, the primary aluminium ingot price has come in at RMB 18,300 per tonne, with average prices expected to range between RMB 18,280 per tonne and RMB 18,320 per tonne. The spot contract is likely to be traded at a discount price of RMB 40 per tonne and premium price of RMB 10 per tonne.

In Foshan and Wuxi, A00 aluminium ingot price has plunged by RMB 330 per tonne to RMB 18,180 per tonne and RMB 18,280 per tonne, followed by the decrease of RMB 310 per tonne in Hangzhou to RMB 18,340 per tonne. In Tianjin and Gongyi, primary aluminium ingot price has shrunk by RMB 270 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,300 per tonne and RMB 18,250 per tonne, while the price in Shenyang and Linyi has declined by RMB 240 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,330 per tonne and RMB 18,380 per tonne, respectively.

But in contrast, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have built up by RMB 250 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,350 per tonne and RMB 19,350 per tonne, respectively. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,250-18,450 per tonne and RMB 19,250-19,450 per tonne, respectively, according to SMM.

However, on the other hand, aluminium alloy (A356) price has decreased by RMB 300 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,400 per tonne. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 19,300 per tonne and RMB 19,500 per tonne.

Among primary aluminium input costs, the average alumina spot price has grown by RMB 2 per tonne after remaining restrained at RMB 2,969 per tonne on the past two days. According to SMM, alumina price has come in at RMB 2,971 per tonne as of August 1.

Aluminium powder price has dipped by RMB 0.3 per kg to stand at RMB 20 per kg, with average prices hovering around RMB 19.9-20.1 per kg.
