A00 aluminium ingot price in China slumps by RMB200/t; Average alumina spot price went down by RMB9/t

On Tuesday, September 27, the A00 aluminium ingot price in China slumped by RMB 200 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,270 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,250 per tonne and RMB 18,290 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 60 to RMB 20 per tonne.
The A00 aluminium ingot price has declined in all the provinces. In Wuxi, the price descended by RMB 210 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,260 per tonne. On the same day, in Hangzhou and Tianjin, the prices dropped by RMB 200 per tonne to record at RMB 18,290 per tonne, respectively. In Foshan and Chongqing, the aluminium ingot price slipped by RMB 190 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,290 per tonne and RMB 18,310 per tonne. The price in Gongyi has decreased by RMB 180 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,230 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price in Shenyang and Tianjin has gone down by RMB 150 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,270 per tonne and RMB 18,320 per tonne.
The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price dropped by RMB 200 per tonne to peg at RMB 26,500 per tonne and RMB 27,500 per tonne. In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium plunged by RMB 190 per tonne to score at RMB 18,888 per tonne.
The average alumina spot price went down by RMB 9 per tonne to record at RMB 2,872 per tonne. In Shandong and Shanxi, the prices climbed down by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 15 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,850 per tonne and RMB 2,815 per tonne. In Guangxi, the price dipped by RMB 5 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,845 per tonne.
On the same day, the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) went down by RMB 50 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,200 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne. The average price for the former is likely to range between RMB 19,100 per tonne and RMB 19,300 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A380), the average price may orbit between RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne. The aluminium alloy (A356) price declined by RMB 200 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,650 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 19,500 per tonne and RMB 19,800 per tonne, on the same day.

The Australian alumina FOB price has dipped by US$5 per tonne to peg at US$353 per tonne. On the same day, the aluminium powder price inched down by RMB 0.2 per kg to settle at RMB 20.3 per kg, with the average prices likely to stand between RMB 20.2 per kg and RMB 20.4 per kg.
