
The A00 aluminium ingot price has recorded a steep fall of RMB 270 per tonne today, August 6, to RMB 14,650 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market data. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,630 per tonne and RMB 14,670 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 10-50 per tonne.

Foshan and Chongqing have seen the highest decline today of RMB 280 per tonne to RMB 14,590 per tonne and RMB 14,530 per tonne, respectively, followed by Wuxi, where the price has plunged by RMB 270 per tonne to RMB 14,650 per tonne. In Gongyi and Tianjin, the price has decreased by RMB 245 per tonne and RMB 240 per tonne to RMB 14,575 per tonne and RMB 14,670 per tonne, respectively. The A00 aluminium ingot price in Shenyang and Hangzhou has grown by RMB 235 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,660 per tonne and RMB 14,690 per tonne, while that in Linyi has decreased by RMB 180 per tonne to RMB 14,730 per tonne.
Backed on the decline in A00 aluminium ingot price, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has diminished by RMB 250 per tonne to RMB 15,250 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 15,200 per tonne and RMB 15,300 per tonne. However, the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained restrained at RMB 14,000 per tonne and RMB 14,900 per tonne, respectively.

As far as the input costs are concerned, the average alumina spot price has dwindled for the third consecutive day by RMB 8 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,339 per tonne, found SMM on August 6. While in the east and north, the price has declined by RMB 15 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to RMB 2,325 per tonne and RMB 2,330 per tonne, the alumina price in the east has inched down by RMB 5 per tonne to RMB 2,340 per tonne. In the south, the price has remained unchanged at RMB 2,520 per tonne.
The price of aluminium powder has also reduced by RMB 0.20 per tonne to stand at RMB 18.25 per tonne, as of Thursday, August 6.
