A00 aluminium ingot price in China drops RMB20/t twice this week; Bauxite price marks RMB2.5/t rise

China’s A00 aluminium ingot price falls for two days in a row by RMB 20 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,800 per tonne, as recorded by the Shanghai Metals Market on Wednesday, June 8. The average prices are supposed to range between RMB 20,780 per tonne and RMB 20,820 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 70 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne.
The primary aluminium ingot price has witnessed the highest slump in Foshan by RMB 90 per tonne to stop at RMB 20,680 per tonne today, followed by an RMB 70 per tonne cut in Chongqing to RMB 20,760 per tonne. The other provinces like Gongyi and Shenyang have suffered RMB 30 per tonne loss to rest at RMB 20,720 per tonne and RMB 20,730 per tonne, respectively.
In Hangzhou, the primary aluminium ingot price has dipped by RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,820 per tonne. Linyi has witnessed a price drop of RMB 40 per tonne, resulting in RMB 20,850 per tonne. A00 aluminium ingot price in Tianjin has also decreased by RMB 20 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,750 per tonne. The aluminium ingot price in Wuxi has noted no change remaining at RMB 20,790 per tonne on Wednesday, June 8.
In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has shrunk by RMB 90 per tonne to stand at RMB 21,294 per tonne on June 8.
Today, the price of bauxite in Shanxi has seen a rise of RMB 2.5 per tonne, amounting to RMB 445 per tonne, with average prices ranging between RMB 415 per tonne and RMB 475 per tonne. Also, the bauxite price in Henan has witnessed a similar growth stopping at RMB 455 per tonne, with average prices roaming between RMB 430 per tonne and RMB 480 per tonne.
The average alumina spot price in Guizhou has inched down by RMB 5 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,985 per tonne, while in Guangxi, it has hiked RMB 5 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,995 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) has fallen by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,500 per tonne, as per the SMM data. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 20,400 per tonne and RMB 20,600 per tonne. Similarly, the aluminium alloy (A380) price has seen a downfall of RMB 100 per tonne to rest at RMB 21,500 per tonne, with average prices ranging from RMB 21,400 per tonne and RMB 21,600 per tonne.
But the aluminium alloy (A356) price, on the other hand, has witnessed RMB 50 per tonne cut halting at RMB 21,900 per tonne, with average prices ranging between RMB 21,800 per tonne and RMB 22,000 per tonne.
