The Aluminum Association is the ANSI-accredited standards setting organization for aluminum produced in the United States. These documents provide the foundation for standards and registration systems used for aluminum alloys, tempers, unalloyed aluminum, and dimensional tolerances for aluminum mill products.  The documents offer complete explanations of a variety of designation systems, and are the foundation to the Aluminum Association publication Aluminum Standards and Data which is slated for release later this year.

Updated documents include:

1. ANSI H35.1/H35.1(M)-2017 - American National Standard Alloy and Temper Designation System for Aluminum: The new edition revises the definitions of basic H and T tempers, discontinues the practice of assigning experimental alloy designations, revises the variation requirements, and modifies chemical composition limits requirements.
2. ANSI H35.2-2017 US- American National Standard Dimensional Tolerances for Aluminum Mill Products: The latest revision includes updated illustrations, clearer guidance regarding non-bilateral tolerances, changes to the list of definitions, a definition of applicable limits, edits to the definition of mean wall thickness, editorial corrections and clarifications to table headings and footnotes.
3. ANSI H35.4-2017-American National Standard Designation System for Unalloyed Aluminum: The new edition includes clarification of the prefix P as well as the testing and reporting requirements for unalloyed aluminum not made by a refining process.
