China’s alumina price maintains upward trajectory, up RMB13/t today; SMM A00 aluminium ingot price shrinks by 1.16% M-o-M

The alumina spot price in China has levitated by RMB 13 per tonne consecutively to officially close at RMB 3,704 per tonne. In Guangxi, the alumina price has earned RMB 20 per tonne, and in Shanxi, it has escalated by RMB 15 per tonne to respectively close at RMB 3,735 per tonne and RMB 3,745 per tonne, respectively. In Guizhou, the alumina price has gained RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 3,700 per tonne, while in Shandong and Henan, the alumina prices have scored RMB 5 per tonne, closing at RMB 3,660 per tonne and RMB 3,670 per tonne. 

The Australian Alumina FOB price has added US$5 per tonne to officiate at US$420 per tonne. 

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 80 per tonne today to close at RMB 20,510 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 20,490 per tonne and RMB 20,530 per tonne. 

On a Month-on-Month scale there has been a slump of RMB 240 per tonne or 1.16 per cent from RMB 20,750 per tonne recorded on April 15. 

The eight main provinces in China have all shown escalating aluminium prices, with the highest spike of RMB 80 per tonne noticed in Linyi, where the aluminium price stood at RMB 20,540 per tonne. In Foshan, Hangzhou and Shenyang, the aluminium prices have uniformly jumped by RMB 60 per tonne to close at RMB 20,460 per tonne, RMB 20,510 per tonne and RMB 20,460 per tonne. The aluminium prices in Gongyi and Wuxi have both soared by RMB 50 per tonne to arrive at RMB 20,430 per tonne and RMB 20,490 per tonne. The aluminium price in Chongqing has added RMB 40 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,460 per tonne. In Tianjin, the aluminium price has scored RMB 10 per tonne, and it finally parked at RMB 20,460 per tonne. 

China’s low carbon aluminium price has expanded by RMB 70 per tonne to a halt at RMB 21,490 per tonne. 

China’s high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) prices have both gained RMB 100 per tonne to officiate at RMB 27,900 per tonne and RMB 28,900 per tonne. 

Aluminium alloy (A356) price and the aluminium alloy (A360) price have collected RMB 50 per tonne to close at RMB 21,050 per tonne and RMB 21,300 per tonne. 

China’s aluminium powder price has grown by RMB 0.10 per kg to stop at RMB 23.10 per kg, with the average prices hovering between RMB 23 per tonne and RMB 23.20 per tonne.
