China’s A00 aluminium ingot price suffers RMB170/t loss with low carbon aluminium price sliding down RMB189/t

The Shanghai Metal Market has reported a descent of RMB 170 per tonne in the aluminium spot price, finally settling down at RMB 18,370 per tonne today, May 22. The average aluminium price trends are between RMB 18,350 per tonne and RMB 18,390 per tonne. The premium prices have ranged around RMB 170 or 130 per tonne.

The aluminium price trends in eight central provinces of China have been on a downward slide, with it falling the highest in Hangzhou by RMB 220 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,350 per tonne. Similarly, the aluminium spot price in Wuxi recorded the exact same rate, with a loss of RMB 190 per tonne. The aluminium price index in Foshan and Shenyang displayed a fall of RMB 180 per tonne, officially noting RMB 18,340 per tonne and RMB 18,410 per tonne, respectively. In Gongyi, aluminium price fluctuations can be witnessed as it has decreased by RMB 150 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,240 per tonne. In Linyi, the aluminium price has shed RMB 120 per tonne, halting at RMB 18,420 per tonne. The aluminium price chart in Tianjin has showcased a drop of RMB 100 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,390 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has slumped by RMB 189 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 18,933 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have subsided by RMB 200 per tonne to stop at RMB 25,900 per tonne and RMB 26,900 per tonne, respectively.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has plummeted by RMB 150 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,200 per tonne, and the price of aluminium alloy (A360) has recorded a similar plunge resting at RMB 19,450 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (ADC12) has dipped RMB 100 per tonne, halting at RMB 18,600 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price in China has lost RMB 0.20 per kg, officially closing at RMB 20.20 per tonne, with average prices hovering between RMB 20.10 per kg and RMB 20.30 per kg.
