Average alumina spot price in China hikes to RMB2,833/t; A00 aluminium ingot price gains RMB190/t

On Monday, December 5, the average alumina spot price in China hiked by RMB 13 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,833 per tonne. The price in Shanxi closed at RMB 2,870 per tonne after recording a growth of RMB 20 per tonne. On the same day, prices in Shandong and Guangxi increased by RMB 15 per tonne to reside at RMB 2,765 per tonne and RMB 2,755 per tonne. In Guizhou and Henan, the prices went up by RMB 10 per tonne and RMB 5 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,770 per tonne and RMB 2,905 per tonne. Lianyungang and Bayuquan remained restrained at RMB 2,875 per tonne and RMB 2,900 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot price has ascended by RMB 190 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,520 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 19,500 per tonne and RMB 19,540 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 30 to RMB 70 per tonne. In Wuxi and Shenyang, the prices have surged by RMB 190 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,505 per tonne and RMB 19,440 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot prices in Gongyi, Foshan and Hangzhou have closed at RMB 19,320 per tonne, RMB 19,520 per tonne and RMB 19,525 per tonne after expanding by RMB 170 per tonne. On the same day, prices in Tianjin and Chongqing climbed up by RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne, to rest at RMB 19,300 per tonne and RMB 19,400 per tonne. In Linyi, the A00 aluminium ingot price went up by RMB 40 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,330 per tonne.

The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price expanded by RMB 200 per tonne to peg at RMB 27,500 per tonne and RMB 28,500 per tonne. The domestic price of low carbon aluminium in China has gained RMB 170 per tonne to reach RMB 20,120 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have gone up by RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,550 per tonne and RMB 20,550 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) is expected to orbit between RMB 19,450 per tonne to RMB 19,650 per tonne.

For aluminium alloy (A380), the average prices may range between RMB 20,450 per tonne and RMB 20,650 per tonne. The aluminium alloy (A356) has elevated by RMB 200 per tonne to halt at RMB 20,700 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 20,500 per tonne and RMB 20,900 per tonne.
