
A00 aluminium ingot price in China has grown for the fourth consecutive day by RMB 140 per tonne to near RMB 19,000 per tonne. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the price has stopped at RMB 18,980 per tonne on Friday, January 20, with average prices estimated to range between RMB 18,960 per tonne and RMB 19,000 per tonne. The spot contract is likely to be traded at a discount price of RMB 120-80 per tonne.

All the major Chinese provinces have unanimously witnessed the ingot price growth of RMB 140 per tonne. In most provinces, the prices are hovering below RMB 19,000 per tonne, except for Foshan and Chongqing, where A00 aluminium ingot price has come in at RMB 19,030 per tonne and RMB 19,010 per tonne, respectively.
The domestic low-carbon aluminium price and high purity aluminium price have increased by RMB 142 per tonne and RMB 140 per tonne to close the week at RMB 19,612 per tonne and RMB 26,800 per tonne, found SMM.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price has also marked the fourth consecutive hike at the weekend. According to SMM, the price has close at RMB 20,150 per tonne, registering an increase of RMB 150 per tonne from the previous day.
However, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have remained restrained at 19,700 per tonne and RMB 20,700 per tonne.
Aluminium powder price, the only aluminium input cost marked a change on January 20, has accumulated RMB 0.10 per kg to settle at RMB 20.50 per kg. The average prices are estimated to hover around RMB 20.4-20.6 per kg.
