Leading solar energy transition company, Waaree Energies, has successfully established two solar inverter manufacturing line facilities via its subsidiary, Waaree Power Private Limited. Based in Gujarat, India, the plants combine to produce 3.05 GW of annual capacity.

Waaree Energies is currently dominating the module manufacturing sector in India with an estimated capacity of 20 GW. In August 2025, the company mentioned its approach to expand its facilities into new regions within the energy industry to boost its stronghold over the solar energy industry. The said areas comprised solar inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and green hydrogen electrolysers.
In a regulatory filing, it mentioned the facilities set up at its Sarodhi-Valsad factory in Gujarat. The 1.525 GW annual capacity of each facility adds up to 3.05 GW. The operations began with effect from 10 am on December 29, 2025.

Similar stratagems
Parallel initiatives have been picked up by other players aiming for vertical integration in the booming supply chain of the solar manufacturing sector of India.
In October 2025, Premier Energies, the Hyderabad-based solar module maker, planned to broaden its scope by venturing into solar inverter manufacturing as well as transformer manufacturing. Its target of meeting the increasing demand for small-scale solar inverters for residential rooftop purposes is well in line with the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
The Gurugram-based solar module manufacturing company Saatvik Solar has also launched solar inverters with their ranges spanning from 1 kW to 50 kW. This prototype has been designed with the specific aim of catering to the requirements for rooftop solar installation, aligning with the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
