
Vedanta Limited has added INR 2,000 per tonne to its aluminium products and aluminium ingot prices on Wednesday, January 25. That brought the company’s aluminium wire rod price to INR 251,000-258,500 per tonne versus INR 249,000-256,500 on January 21. Vedanta increased its aluminium wire rod price by INR 3,500 per tonne on January 21 to sell the product at INR 249,000-256,500 per tonne.

Vedanta’s aluminium billet price has come in at INR 252,500 per tonne as of January 25 versus INR 250,500 per tonne on January 21. Vedanta’s aluminium billet price also saw a hike of INR 3,500 per tonne on January 21.
Aluminium ingot price is currently hovering around 243,500-274,000 per tonne, up by INR 2,000 per tonne from INR 241,500- 272,000 per tonne.
Vedanta links its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices to the three-month futures of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange, which grew for the third consecutive day by US$53.50 per tonne from US$2,541 per tonne on January 19 to US$2,594.50 per tonne on January 24.
Vedanta's aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company's consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share of India's primary aluminium market.
