
Vedanta Limited increased its aluminium products and aluminium ingot prices on Friday, September 16, following an intermittent fall on the previous day. According to the revised price chart revealed by Vedanta, the company’s aluminium wire rod price saw a hike of INR 3,750 per tonne to stand at INR 217,000- 224,500 per tonne as of September 16. On Thursday, September 15, the wire rod price stood at INR 213,250-220,750 per tonne after being cut by INR 4,750 per tonne from INR 218,000-225,500 per tonne.

Vedanta’s aluminium billet price also experienced a rise of INR 3,750 per tonne to INR 218,500 per tonne on September 16, following a fall of INR 4,750 per tonne from INR 219,500 per tonne to INR 214,750 per tonne on September 15.
Aluminium ingot price was no exception but also grew by the same amount to range between INR 209,500-239,000 per tonne on September 16 versus INR 205,750-235,250 per tonne on the day ago.
Vedanta raised its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices on September 16 in line with the LME aluminium benchmark price hike by US$44.50 per tonne on September 15 from US$2,227.50 per tonne to US$2,272 per tonne.
Vedanta’s aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company’s consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share in India's primary aluminium market.
