
Vedanta Limited has expanded its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices for the second day in a row, with effect from Wednesday, July 20. Vedanta’s aluminium ingot price has witnessed an increase of INR 3,250 per tonne to INR 222,750-254,250 per tonne on July 20. On July 19, the price stood at INR 219,500-251,000, seeing a rise of INR 5,000 per tonne from July 16.

Vedanta’s aluminium wire rod price has come in at INR 230,250- 237,750 per tonne as of July 20, up by INR 3,250 per tonne from INR 227,000-234,500 per tonne on July 19. Aluminium billet price has also experienced an increase of INR 3,250 per tonne to INR 231,750 per tonne, following a rise of INR 5,000 per tonne on the previous day.
Vedanta Limited links its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices to the three-month futures of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange, which surged by US$57 per tonne over the weekend to come in at US$2,377.50 per tonne on July 18, which further heightened by US$34.50 per tonne to US$2,412 per tonne on July 19.
Vedanta’s aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company’s consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share in India's primary aluminium market.
