Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest and one of the world’s leading producers of aluminium, has reportedly won the title Made in India aluminium at ALUMINIUM 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

To express gratitude, Rahul Sharma, CEO of Vedanta Aluminium, said: “As India’s largest producer of aluminium, it is a matter of pride for us to showcase our manufacturing expertise and product portfolio ‘made in India for the world’. The forthcoming decades will see aluminium become the most-consumed metal in the world, given its ubiquity in current and potential clean technologies. We, at Vedanta Aluminium, are on a relentless mission to deliver sustained growth for our customers, customers and country through aluminium, the metal of the future. This will see us leverage the full potential of our assets, deepen innovation capabilities, foster global partnerships, and develop new products and high-end alloys to cater to the emerging needs of a low carbon future.”
Vedanta Aluminium is known to have contributed to national growth and development as a manufacturing powerhouse of aluminium and its products. It has an installed smelting capacity of 2.3 million tonnes, with the ability to produce a wide range of standard and customised aluminium products, including billets, primary foundry alloys, wire rods, rolled products, and primary aluminium ingots.
Vedana is the first aluminium company from India to offer low carbon metal under the brand Restora, which has two product lines – Restora and Restora Ultra. Restora’s greenhouse gas intensity is well below the global standard of low carbon aluminium, while Restora Ultra has even lower carbon footprint, almost zero. So, Vedanta’s Restora assures aluminium buyers to have consumed low carbon footprint products in the world.
