Ashish Khilnani has been promoted to Vice President at Vedanta Aluminium. Before the promotion, Khilnani served as COO – Logistics at Vedanta Limited's Aluminium Business, where he was responsible for logistics operations at the company's aluminium facilities in Jharsuguda, Odisha.
{alcircleadd}He has more than 20 years of experience in logistics, plant operations, procurement, inventory management, industrial purchasing and supply chain management across the cement, aluminium and manufacturing sectors.
Prior to joining Vedanta Aluminium, Khilnani worked at Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd., where he held positions including Logistics Cluster Head – Odisha and General Manager. During his time with the company, he was involved in logistics management, plant operations and supply chain activities across Odisha.
Earlier, he spent more than 16 years with Lafarge India Ltd. During that period, he held several roles covering plant logistics, purchasing, inventory management and procurement of industrial goods and services.
His experience at Lafarge included assignments in Bilaspur, Jamshedpur and Kolkata, where he worked on cement plant operations, procurement systems, inventory control and logistics management.

Khilnani began his career as a Maintenance Engineer at Super Max Impex. He later worked as an Electrical Engineer at Softel Kitchen Appliances and also served as a Government Apprentice (Electrical) at Raymond Cement, gaining experience in engineering, maintenance and industrial operations.
According to the company, the promotion reflects his contribution to logistics management, operational performance and business efficiency within the company's aluminium business.
Vedanta Aluminium operates aluminium smelters, an alumina refinery and power plants, and produces more than half of India's aluminium output. Its products are supplied to sectors including aerospace, automotive, electric vehicles, electrification, building and construction, and steel.
