
Vedanta Aluminium has reportedly launched an e-commerce platform called Vedanta Metal Bazaar for primary aluminium product sales. The platform will facilitate buyers with a real-time shopping experience, providing AI-based price discovery, end-to-end visibility of purchases, and in-time delivery.

As per the report, there are 750 aluminium products listed on Vedanta Metal Bazaar. Products include ingots, billets, foundry alloy, wire rods, rolled products, flip coils, hot metal, and in-house low-carbon aluminium Restora. In addition, the e-superstore also offers customised solutions tailored to the needs of the company's customer base.
The platform is one-of-a-kind in the aluminium value chain, having integrated features. On a single platform, aluminium buyers can access product availability, online price discovery, long-term contracts, on-the-spot orders, live shipment tracking, financial reconciliation, and critical documentation like test certificates and bank guarantees.
"Over 750 products are available, and all aspects of the buying process, from really identifying which products they want, understanding pricing, which is a very complex and dynamic process, and then everything from negotiating the contract, documenting, and then managing the logistics...and then delivery to the to their site. And then for financial reconciliation, all of that can be done on this platform," said Vedanta Aluminium CEO John Slaven.
"For small and medium-sized companies, this is going to be a real game changer," added John Slaven.
According to Slaven, Vedanta Metal Bazaar will be a breakthrough for the industry in India, enabling the company to serve its customers with a full range of products on one platform.
