US aluminium scrap exports to India in 1Q2022 record a drop of 13.87% to halt at 105,000 tonnes
According to the USGS data, the United States exported a total of 105,000 tonnes of aluminium scrap to India in 1Q2022, which on a Y-o-Y calculation recorded a drop of 378,000 tonnes or 78.26 per cent from 483,000 tonnes in 1Q2021. On the M-o-M forefront, the amount of aluminium scrap exported to India by the United States reflected a fluctuating movement.
As per the USG data, in March 2022, 9,990 tonnes of aluminium scrap were exported to India by the United States, which on an M-o-M basis plunged by 1,610 tonnes or 13.87 per cent from 11,600 tonnes in February 2022. On the other hand, in February 2022, a growth of 300 tonnes was recorded from 11,300 tonnes in January 2022. The United States exported 9,990 tonnes of aluminium scrap to India in March 2022, which on a Y-o-Y calculation dropped majorly by 19,710 tonnes or 66.36 per cent from 29,700 tonnes in March 2021.
As per the USGS data, in 4Q2021, the United States exported a total of 147,600 tonnes of aluminium scrap to India. In October, the amount of aluminium scrap exported to India halted at 56,400 tonnes which on an M-o-M forefront expanded by 7,500 tonnes or 15.33 per cent from 48,900 tonnes in November 2021. In November 2021, a surge of 6,600 tonnes or 15.60 per cent was recorded from 42,300 tonnes in December 2021.
