
In September 2021, the United States imported 5,480 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars from Turkey. That remained essentially unchanged month-on-month compared to 5,490 tonnes but significantly up by 321.54 per cent from 1,300 tonnes than a year earlier. In July, the US imported 4,230 tonnes of aluminium flat-rolled products, meaning the imports in August grew 29.79 per cent M-o-M.

In the third quarter of 2021 ended September 30, the United States’ aluminium plates, sheets and bars imports from Turkey totalled 15,200 tonnes, down by 26.03 per cent from 20,550 tonnes in Q2 2021 but up by 64.32 per cent from 9,250 tonnes in Q3 2020.
From January to September, the United States imported 46,200 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars in total from Turkey, 32.38 per cent higher than 34,900 tonnes a year ago.
The United States total aluminium flat rolled products imports from Turkey amounted to 106,000 tonnes in September, reflecting a month-on-month decrease of 15.87 per cent from 126,000 tonnes but a year-on-year hike of 34.52 per cent from 78,800 tonnes.
In the first eight months of the year, Turkey exported 958,000 tonnes of the product to the US, up by 18.42 per cent from 809,000 tonnes a year ago.
