The Aluminium in Road Transport Conference 2013 (The road ahead with aluminium) is taking place on 5-6 November 2013 at Birmingham, UK.
The Aluminium in Road Transport Conference 2013 brings together key speakers from major vehicle makers, the recycling industry, automotive suppliers and academics to discuss the current and future trends in Light-weighting and Recycling and the role of aluminium in this process.
Featuring eminent speakers from all sides of the industry, this conference will enable you to get close to the key players, to hear what major vehicle manufacturers are planning and to hear how the industry is responding to the growing importance of aluminium to this key sector.

European Aluminium Congress 2013 (Aluminium Automotive Applications – Tomorrows Design and Sustainable Performance) is to be held on 25-26 November 2013 at Düsseldorf, Germany.
Aluminium has become an indispensable material in the motor car: castings for the crankcase, cylinder heads, gearbox casings and structural components for the body are now the state of the art. Other semi-finished products in the form of sheet, extruded profiles and forgings are increasingly finding use in vehicles. At the EAC 2013, the various applications of aluminium currently used in cars will be presented. Potential future developments will be outlined that will make vehicles of the future even lighter and more energy efficient while maintaining or even improving today’s safety standards.
Together with representatives from the automotive industry, manufacturers of semi-finished products and sub-suppliers, the latest innovative and trendsetting solutions will be presented and discussed.
