Aluminium is a highly recyclable metal that is extensively recycled globally. Recycling aluminium offers several benefits to the environment and economy. Many producers now have targets for increasing the use of secondary materials, since they can save both energy and costs.
{alcircleadd}As per the data revealed, Turkey’s industrial production recorded an average line of 5.42% from 1986 until 2022, reaching an all-time high of 66% in April 2021 and a record low of -31.50% in April 2020, primarily due to the pandemic. However, Turkey’s aluminium scrap export data reveals an unsettled movement towards the export of aluminium scrap in a phase when recycling is industrially trending.
The transcontinental country located mainly in Anatolia in Western Asia, Turkey exported 41,757 tonnes of aluminium scrap from 2019-to 21, attracting earnings of around $55.95 million from the export.
In 2019, Turkey exported 14,450 tonnes of aluminium scrap, counting a revenue inflow of $18.27 million, whereas, in 2020, the export reflected a dip of 7.72%, as the export volume declined to 13,334 tonnes and the earnings also fell to $16 million.
The aluminium scrap export of Turkey in 2021 was registered at 13,973 tonnes, signifying a marginal rise of 4.79%, incurring revenue earning of $21.68 million.
The export for 2022 is analysed with a de-growth of 13.93%, as the export volume is anticipated to remain at 12,026 tonnes, while earnings will stand at $20.55 million.
Turkey’s major export destinations for the export of aluminium scrap are Spain, Belgium, China, Bulgaria, France, etc.
