US aluminium scrap exports to India in February’22 shows M-o-M downfall of 300 tonnes
In February 2022, the United States exported 11,600 tonnes of aluminium scrap to India, which on an M-o-M scale heightened by 300 tonnes or 2.65 percent from 11,300 tonnes in January 2022. As per the USGS data, the amount in January had nosedived by 31,000 tonnes or 73.28 percent from 42,300 tonnes in December 2021.
On a Y-o-Y comparison, the amount had plunged by 15,600 tonnes or 57.35 percent from 27,200 tonnes in February 2021. In 2021, a total of 442,000 tonnes of aluminium scrap was exported to India from the United States.
According to the USGS statistics, in February 2022 US exported a total amount of 34,700 tonnes of aluminium scrap, which on an M-o-M forefront declined by 2,400 tonnes or 7.43 percent from 32,300 tonnes in January 2022. In January 2022, the amount dropped hugely by 146,700 tonnes or 81.95 percent from 179,000 tonnes in December 2021.
