Taural India Pvt Ltd, one of the leading aluminium casting manufacturers in India, is on the way to advancing its sustainability agenda with two new and key initiatives - one is the adoption of Vedanta’s low-carbon aluminium and the other is the implementation of a green sand-casting process at its upcoming facility in Supa, Ahilyanagar. In early 2025, Taural signed a MoU with the Government of Maharashtra to expand its manufacturing operations in Ahilyanagar.
Taural’s green initiatives are expected to offer dual benefit to the company by not only helping the manufacturer in reducing the environmental impact of industrial production but also by enhancing its production while being self-reliant.
Taural’s adoption of Vedanta’s low-carbon aluminium, Restora, will bring down its carbon emissions from casting process by as much as 80 per cent. Restora is produced using renewable energy and modern smelting technology to support heavy industries to meet sustainability norms, within India and globally.
In addition, Taural is also investing in cleaner sand-casting technologies, which will introduce natural binders and sand reclamation methods, allowing sand to be reused multiple times with less processing.
Taural, being an environment conscious manufacturer, has previously adopted many green initiatives like using natural-gas powered melting furnaces, battery-operated material handling equipment, and a closed-loop approach towards water and waste management.

In context to these sustainability moves, Taural’s Managing Director & CEO, said: “Sustainability is not a side project for us - it’s part of our daily operations. With customers in more than 10 countries and across industries like defence and healthcare, we understand our role in building efficient, responsible supply chains. The use of low-carbon aluminium and cleaner casting methods helps us move closer to that goal.”
Taural India’s boarder mission is to manufacture complex, high-performance aluminium components in India so that the country can reduce its dependence on imports and move towards self-reliance. Taural supplies aluminium components to aerospace, defence, healthcare, energy, marine, and transportation sectors.
