Taural India, a globally renowned integrated aluminium foundry, is excited to announce its partnership with Indian Railways, marking a significant milestone in India's journey toward self-sufficiency and technological advancement. The company has provided cutting-edge aluminium casting solutions for the recently revealed Amrit Bharat Express train in Ayodhya.
As part of Taural India's dedicated indigenisation efforts, the production of customised aluminium Gear Cases for WAP5 electric locomotives has reached new heights. These locomotives, manufactured by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), the flagship production unit of Indian Railways, have seen a transformative shift by incorporating locally produced aluminium casting components.
This initiative not only triumphantly supplanted the once-imported aluminium casting components from Germany but also ushered in a new era of efficiency, slashing the delivery speed of the component by an astounding 50 per cent. Taural India's commitment to excellence and sustainability resonates across its broad spectrum of clients and industries, positioning it as a trusted and innovative partner in aluminium casting solutions.
"Our association with Indian Railways is a testament to Taural India's commitment towards innovation, indigenization, and the 'Make in India' initiative. We take pride in providing cutting-edge aluminium casting solutions that meet global quality standards without compromising on efficiency or speed of production," said Bharat Gite, Managing Director and CEO of Taural India.
Taural India has strategically developed a robust technical infrastructure and expertise within the country, establishing itself as a pivotal contributor in fulfilling the specialised needs of the railway sector. It is operating from its expansive 3,00,000 sq. ft. The company in Pune, India, provides comprehensive aluminium sand-casting solutions, covering the entire spectrum from product design to quality testing, painting, product construction, assembly, and timely delivery.
Recognising the environmental benefits of green metals like aluminium, Taural India has actively embraced these materials, contributing to reduced emissions and enhanced energy efficiency throughout the production and application processes. The intrinsic qualities of aluminium, including its high strength-to-weight ratio, exceptional corrosion resistance, design flexibility, recyclability, and energy efficiency, make it an ideal choice for the Indian Railway sector.
