Spot alumina prices in major China markets on upward track; Prebaked anode remains flat

<p>Spot alumina prices in China are on an upward track and now continuing to grow firm throughout all the major markets.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><img style="vertical-align: middle;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/china%20alumina31may.png" alt="News" width="517" height="226" /></p> <p>As on May 31 2017, as reported by Shanghai Metals Market; the average spot alumina price in East China market increased from RMB 2,490 /t on May 26 to stand at RMB 2,510 /t.&nbsp; In the Central China Market, the average spot alumina price stands at RMB 2,500 /t, up from RMB 2,480 /t on May 26.</p> <p>The average spot alumina price in South China market increased from RMB 2,445/t on May 26 to stand at RMB 2,475/t today. In the North China Market, the average spot alumina price increased from RMB 2,475/t on May 26 to stand at RMB 2,495/t. Market price difference between north China and south China dropped to RMB 20/t.</p> <p>Alumina prices from large scale alumina enterprises remain unchanged in May. &nbsp;Chalco alumina prices stand at RMB 2,550/t and are expected to move within a range of RMB 2,500- 2,600/t.</p> <p>In the import market; average imported alumina price remains flat at RMB 2,800/t and it is expected to move within a range of RMB 2,770- 2,830/t.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><img style="vertical-align: middle;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/eastchina31may.jpeg" alt="News" width="517" height="226" /></p> <p>Currently, among the domestic markets, East China market has the highest alumina price, North China following close.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><img style="vertical-align: middle;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/prebaked%20anodeMay.png" alt="News" width="517" height="226" /></p> <p>According to Shanghai Metals Market record, daily average price of Prebaked Anode remains flat in all the major China markets on May 31 2017. Average price of Prebaked Anode (TY-1) in East China market stands at RMB 3,745 per tonne, Prebaked Anode (TY-1) Northwest China price is RMB 3,900 per tonne, Prebaked Anode (TY-1) Southwest China price is RMB 3,500 per tonne, and Prebaked Anode (TY-1) Central China price is RMB 3,550 per tonne.</p> <p>{googleAdsense}</p> <p>On a monthly analysis, the average price of Prebaked Anode in major China markets registered a rise in May from April.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
