Spot alumina prices drop in major Chinese markets; A00 ingot follows the downtrend

<p>Alumina prices in China declined slightly after a recent rise. Alumina market participants were enthusiastic driven by falling alumina prices restocking their inventories.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><img style="vertical-align: middle;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/spot%20alumina14%20june.png" alt="News" width="702" height="281" /></p> <p>As on June 14 2017, as reported by Shanghai Metals Market; the average spot alumina price in East China market dropped from RMB 2,670 /t on June 13 to stand at RMB 2,660 /t.&nbsp; In the Central China Market, the average spot alumina price stands at RMB 2,660 /t, down from RMB 2,670 /t on June 13. In the North China Market too, the average spot alumina price dropped from RMB 2,670/t on June 13 to stand at RMB 2,660/t. The prices in these three major markets have come to a parallel level.</p> <p>The average spot alumina price in South China market remains unchanged at RMB 2,610/t on June 14. Market price difference between north China and south China dropped to RMB 50/t today from RMB 60/t yesterday.</p> <p>Chalco alumina prices and average imported alumina prices remain flat at RMB 2,650/t and RMB 2,800/t. &nbsp;Currently, Central China market has the highest alumina price excluding the prices offered by Chalco.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><img style="vertical-align: middle;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/chart%20(11).jpeg" alt="News" width="517" height="226" /></p> <p>Following the fall in alumina prices, China Aluminum International Trading Co. (Chalco Trading) lowered aluminium prices it offered in major markets today for three days in a row.&nbsp;</p> <p>The prices for A00 Aluminium Ingot in two China markets (South and South-West) have plunged further after the last gain on June 8. &nbsp;Aluminium Ingot at South China market plunged from RMB 13,655/t on June 13 to RMB 13,625/t on June 14. &nbsp;For the Southwest China market, the price dropped from RMB 13,585 /t on June 13 to RMB 13,575/t on June 14.</p> <p>The price in East China market (Zhejiang) increased from RMB 13,550 /t on June 13 to RMB 13,560/t on June 14.</p> <p>{googleAdsense}</p> <p>Currently, among the domestic markets, the prices for A00 Aluminium Ingot in North China, East China (Jiangsu province) and Northeast China market remain unchanged from yesterday at RMB 13,600 /t, RMB 13,545 /t and RMB 13,590 /t respectively.</p> <p>A00 Aluminium Ingot in spot China market is trading at discounts of RMB 60-20/t.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
