South China Aluminum: Price Falls, Transactions Rare

After most active SHFE aluminum contract gapped lower today, spot aluminum prices quickly slipped to near RMB 17,600/mt. Some traders took the wait-and-see attitude after the price jump, and the majority kept their quotation firm above RMB 17,600/mt. The weak consumption, however, still dragged mainstream traded prices lower to RMB 17,590-17,620/mt. Market transactions were rarely seen.
