Sohar Aluminium celebrates Women’s Day

On the occasion of the Omani Women’s Day, Sohar Aluminium (SA) hosted a conference for the ladies working at SA, by Kamla Ali al Aufi, Chairman of the Entrepreneurs Forum in Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the owner of two factories, one producing marble and granite and the other skincare products. Kamla also won the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year Award’ in 2009 and for a second time in 2013. Dana Geadah, SA Communications Manager stated; “When I had the honour to personally meet with Kamla, I was pleasantly surprised by her modesty and sincerity, and I was hoping that all my fellow working ladies can have the chance to meet with her as well, and listen to her inspirational success story and lifetime achievements”.

Kamla accepted the invitation to Sohar Aluminium, to give a presentation about her early start in the world of business, the many challenges she had to face and how she overcame them through hard work and dedication, reaching the highest and most prestigious ranks in the business world. Dana continued by saying; “Kamla is a symbol of success and a role model for ladies everywhere in the Arab World, and we are grateful to receive her at our premises, where we got the chance to talk to her heart to heart and ask her questions that would help us with our career aspirations”. Following the presentation, all the ladies were grateful to meet Kamla who inspired them always to reach excellence, “It was a great pleasure for me to meet Kamla and listen to her secrets of success and achievements”, said Afaf al Shibli from Information Technology department. Also Obida al Muqbali added, “Attending such a lecture enriches our self-esteem and encourages us to achieve greater heights” Moreover, The SA ladies expressed gratitude to SA for providing working women equal opportunities to excel in the workplace.
