Eli Harting travels around the city of Jasper every two weeks accompanied by his father, to collect used beverage cans and crush them for recycling. He also wishes to buy a bigger truck to be used for his recycling business in the city about 50 miles northeast of Evansville.

Harting tells WFIE-TV that recycling is "good for the environment" but it's also fun. Even for the fun of it, a little boy has started contributing towards environment through his recycling activities. He was inspired by his grandfather to start this recycling service when he saw him   using a can crusher to smash cans for recycling at a salvage yard during previous summer.

Harting started by collecting beverage cans from his family and relatives before expanding his operations to gather them from others in the city. He has recently added a drop-off recycling bin to his front yard for  people to easily drop the cans.
