Russia Aluminum Exports up 17% in Jan-May

Russia exported in January-May 1.572 million metric tons of aluminum, 17% more than in the corresponding period last year, the federal customs service reported Tuesday.
The exported aluminum was worth $3.171 billion, compared with $2.801 billion a year ago.
Aluminum exports to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States increased by 16% on the year to 1.545 million tons worth $$3.104 billion, and export to CIS states more than doubled to 27,800 tons worth $67 million.
