UC RUSAL reported robust financial results for Q1 2017, driven by its operational efficiency and cost discipline, supported by stronger LME prices.
As reported in the result, Rusal produced 1,889 thousand tons of alumina in Q1 2017, registering a 0.9% increase from 1,873 thousand tons in Q1 2016 and 2.6% drop from 1,939 thousand tons in Q4 2016. This was offset by a solid increase in total alumina sales volume in the same quarter.
