Rexam reports the launch of 2B sparkling
2B Sparkling, also known as "Healthy Bubbles," has been approved by the New York City Department of Education, which superintends stringent health standards for what can be served to students in the Big Apple. The drink is currently being sold in over 2,500 school vending machines.
According to Rexam, 2B Sparkling delivers the “bubbles” customers want from carbonated drinks without the calory-loaded sugar. Purefruit natural sweetener originates from a fruit cultivated by Buddhist monks and treasured for its sweetness, which comes from unique, naturally occurring antioxidants, Rexam said in a statement last week.
Larry Trachtenbroit, co-founder of 2B, said that by partnering with Rexam the company will benefit from the inherent advantages of aluminium cans such as portability, durability and sustainability.
Aluminum cans are reputedly the world’s most recycled beverage container, with a US recycling rate of 67 percent, more than double that of other beverage packages.
