Qatalum uses HMR’s Tapping System

All liquid aluminium from the potrooms to the casthouse at Qatalum aluminium plant in Qatar is transported by a complete tapping system, delivered by Norwegian company HMR Hydeq.
An agreement with Fata of Italy, which was Qatalum’s main casthouse contractor, includes 12 tapping vehicles with the crucible cleaner and other auxiliary equipment for transport of molten aluminium in the smelter in Mesaieed Industrial Park.
